Digital Comic Museum:

The Digital Comic Museum is the latest addition to the Smithsonian Institution and is designed to preserve, promote, and celebrate comics art as an integral part of American culture. The Smithsonian Libraries’ collections contain over 250,000 volumes in their Graphic Arts Collection. The new museum will house these titles alongside comics created by contemporary artists in a state of the art facility that will be visited annually by two million visitors.

Welcome to How To Start Reading Comics In 2022, where I’ll try to help you read comics if you’re not sure how. I imagine for some of you, this is your introduction to comics. There could be others who have been reading for years and are just trying to find a way to fit them into your life in a way that makes sense.

It’s not hard once you figure out what works best for you.

For me, comics have always been there, since I was little. My parents would take us down to the corner store and get us every comic Marvel produced at the time every Wednesday. That included The Amazing Spider-Man , X-Men , The Amazing Spider-Man , Iron Man , Thor and more.

GoComics:

GoComics is the primary source for online newspaper and comic strip subscriptions, providing online access to more than 1,700 newspapers and 3,500 comic strips. Some of the most popular titles include; Dick Tracy , Garfield , Peanuts , Doonesbury , Dilbert , Calvin & Hobbes and Mickey Mouse . The site also includes special features like; puzzles, games, color-by-numbers pages and other activities.

Every year I tell myself I’m going to purchase membership to one or more of these sites. I’m still not sure how long I’ll continue to use them. But they’re great places to get started.
